Range Facilities

Awareness Analytics is an official ‘Instructor Member’ at the Northern Colorado Rod & Gun Club and uses this private, 14-acre outdoor location as its primary classroom and range facility.  Please note that this facility is accessible only to members and their guests via a locked entrance gate, during specific discipline events which are open to the public, or through instruction classes.

General Information & Accommodations

While the range is an extraordinary location for facilitating the shooting sports, you should be aware that some creature comforts are limited.  The two biggest general considerations are that there is no running water and toilet facilities are provided via portable restrooms.

The classroom does have portable heating and air conditioning.  However, the live-fire and other on-the-range portions of a class will be conducted outside in whatever weather conditions exist.  Consideration to appropriate attire for indoor and outdoor activities must be taken.

There is no on-site vending or food services available.  Students may bring their own snacks / meals and non-alcoholic beverages for consumption during the class.  Alternatively, food can be aquired at The Forks Mercantile and Saloon [map] which is only 4 miles north of the range on HWY287.  Their menu can be found [here].

Driving Directions

The Club is located east of Highway 287 on Owl Canyon Road about 15 miles northwest of Fort Collins.

Google Map to Range

Coming from Fort Collins, go North on US 287 toward Livermore. Turn right onto County Road 72 / Owl Canyon Road and go about a half-mile. The Club entrance will be on your right and identified by a road sign and white cattle guard gate. Drive through the gate and follow the road for about one mile. Then, take the left road at the 'Y' intersection toward the lower shooting ranges.

Coming from I-25, take Exit #281 (Owl Canyon Road Exit), go west for 6.4 miles on Owl Canyon Road (Larimer County Road #70) until you reach the round-about intersection.  At the round-about, take the first exit (going North) and continue on Owl Canyon Road ( now County Road #72) for an additional 4.4 miles. The Club entrance will be on your left and identified by a road sign and white cattle guard gate. Drive through the gate and follow the road for about one mile. Then, take the left road at the 'Y' intersection toward the lower shooting ranges.

Handicapped Accessibility

Reasonable accommodation for handicapped and limited-mobility students will be made and prior coordination may be required for certain and specific needs.  If you are unsure about your or a loved-one's ability to participate, please contact us first to review your specific case.  Arriving for a course without prior discussion of special needs will likely result in those needs not being met or being only partially met (according to the situation).

The range does have a handicapped accessible portable restroom, concrete sidewalks from the parking lots to the covered pistol and rifle ranges, and a fixed shooting bench on the pistol range built for seated persons.  However, the parking lots and all other surfaces found within the facility are either road base or bare ground and nearly every bit of it is uneven and with a noticeable slope.  Individuals with limited mobility must consider these factors when deciding to register for a class.

Awareness Analytics is all about empowerment.  We provide firearm training, continuing education, and simulator experiences to any eligible person regardless of background or political view.  From classroom theory to hands-on... If you're serious about wanting to learn, we're serious about helping you do it.
